School Week of August 20-24

Reading: Pony Gal read more from McGuffey's Eclectic Primer ; read I Am Not Mat!
Math: addition and subtraction drills on Sheppard's Software; worked on numbers to 100; worked on story problems, which seem to really make sense with her
History: More from Pre-Columbian America, 6-12 of Our Cultural Heritage; made teepees, parched corn,  and wove paper mats
We used this recipe for the corn. The kids liked it!

Bible: Finished our Creation Lapbooks
Science: Finished Dinos Before Dark and read a couple dino books from the library; plan on using a new science text
Pony Gal's birthday fell in this week, so we headed to the zoo for some fun one day with friends

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
