Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

There is just something about Tuesdays...

It started out fine, really. And, again, I enjoyed my afternoon with Sarah, which I always do. But after I leave her house, all hell breaks loose, it seems. I got to Riverpoint to pick Harold up, and the techs come running out. Harold had gotten in a hurry, then a run, then slammed face first into the concrete at the dialysis, was not able to get up right away, and then rushed to the hospital. As of right now, we have no clue what caused everything. Apparently he had been acting funny all day (no news there). I did get a chance to talk to one of his nephrologists, though, who got an earful on just how weird he had been acting. When we left last night, they had decided to keep him and run more tests, because his bp was doing funny things, and he was not able to tell anyone where he lived or anything, but his name. So, yet another evening at Mercy.  Oh, but the evening wasn’t over.

Andrew and I had noticed Asher was acting kind of funny and Liv was sounding stuffy (I had no clue Sar, or we wouldn’t have come over…). We get home and Liv is grumpy and totally plugged, and Asher is running a fever around 103. Fun. So I was up all night with both of them, just keeping an eye to make sure nothing serious developed. All three of us camped out on the living room floor so Andrew could sleep. This morning all the symptoms remain except the grouchiness, so hopefully we are just dealing with some colds. Liv is drinking tea, and Asher is terrorizing, though not as fervently as usual.

But, wait, there’s more!

I thought I felt a little crampy all day yesterday. I have not gotten my period back since getting preggo with Asher. I had (cause you wanted to know) discharge yesterday. I ambloated. I have three mystery pounds that have appeared and won’t leave. I am retaining water and thirsty as hell. I think Aunt Flo is returning. So, suck. And more crampy today. Just what I needed on my crazy wedding weekend. Sarah-you totally better wait to go into labor, because you can do that and all….;) (So, I would make it work no matter what, but…)

  1. Oh, don't worry about it. It's that time of year to get sudden illnesses. Wally kind of snorted around all night and seemed to be really hot this morning (but I was cold, and also too lazy to get a thermometer). He's been coughing from sinus drainage today, but otherwise seems healthy. I've also got a sore throat from sinus drainage. But it could also be the weather or allergies.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
