Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Seed Starting

I spent part of my day yesterday starting seeds. I had already gotten some herbs and leeks going a few weeks ago. I used the basement kitchen, which I had not done previously, and was kind of wary about, but I think it will work wonderfully. I managed to get tomatoes, peppers, more herbs, marigolds, eggplant, garden huckleberries and ground cherries started. The great thing is that the kitchen really gets a lot of light, I can run the space heater down there to help get things started, there is immediate access to the outdoors when I am ready to start hardening them off, as well and wheelbarrow access, the sink-its all good:) I need to move the rest of my supplies out of the laundry room and down there now so I can be ready to start the transplanting process.
Oh, and Mama P-if you still want me to start anything for you, just let me know/bring them to town when we see each other next.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
