Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Yoga girl

While in Minnesota on vacation I was able to track down a kids' yoga dvd that I had been eyeing for awhile in a catalog of mine. I have had big hopes of doing it the mornings with Pony Gal, but up until now just haven't had the umph. And actually, still don't so much, but Pony Gal picked it up this evening and had me put it on and went through the whole thing three times. She was om-ing and namaste-ing all through the house once it stopped. And then she was after healthy food and the like. I just think about the way she goes about things because I am not afraid of what mainstream peers will say and how she then compares with other kids we know and it makes me smile. I know she is being setup for such a healthier happier life than them just in understanding health and exercise. So maybe I will have to drag my butt off the couch in the am and start doing it with her, though the poses are set for kids so I would be pretty silly in my creeping caterpillar pose...

  1. hey, we borrowed a kids yoga DVD from the library that's kids and parents doing yoga together. We have enjoyed it quite a bit. I mean, it's still silly, but there are grownups on the TV doing the poses, too, so you feel a little less silly.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
