Crapola Latter Half of the Day-a

So, Harold’s mental state has finally declined enough that the doctors are talking dementia. Great. It seems it is time for a family meeting to discuss when we take what actions. It has been a long day. He ahs acted totally out of, convinced there is a house in Swan that looks exactly like ours (um, it is ours-we live in it). He is just gone. We will see how things are tomorrow. As far as the day sucking, my sister in law came over to drop off a trailer they had borrowed and brought her girls with her. My son is highly mobile. My daughter knows to close the basement door behind her. You see where I am going with this. I COULD HAVE KILLED THEM. I hear thuds, then cries, yes, my son fell down the stairs. I only pray that he actually managed to maneuver down most of htem and only caught a few. He seems okay. A goose egg on the side of his head, but acting normal. His eyes seem to be dilating. I seriously could have ended them. I couldn’t believe it. They are older than Liv by a couple years and are not smart enough to close the door. They have stairs and little brother also. Luckily, their mom was totally on my side, but I just couldn’t stop screaming at them. If he has any residual injury, I don’t know how long it will take me to get over it. I know at this point they are not to leave the couch when they are at my house. My heart is still racing, I am still sick to my stomach and he is now sleeping, though I will be waking him a few times tonight. What a day (though I did enjoy the afternoon spent with Sarah;) )

  1. OMG! I hope he's OK!!

Though this in no way measures up to your crappy afternoon, I came home to discover that Wally hadn't quite turned off the bathroom sink after washing his face. And the bathroom sink doesn't drain very well. And how long were we gone? yeah, I had to clean a LOT of water and chunks of ceiling from my basement. Fortunately, the only things that got really ruined were things I can live without, but it was a LOT of work.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
