The kids anxiously await the first snow fall each year, so they can sled, and make snow men, and do this-scoop up snow and eat it, either plain or drizzled with maple syrup. I have a recipe for snow candy to try sometime this winter, too. Basically it is a maple syrup based caramel that you instantly cool in cups of snow and eat. Yummy!
