Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's Baaack

So, you know the whole reason we originally got goats was due to my kids on again/off again lactose intolerance issues. Both of them had been enjoying having no issues with it for some time, drinking and eating regular dairy products with no problem. But the last few days Superboy has shown signs of issues again, with a rash and diaper movements. When Pony Gal was little and we thought she had cleared out of it, then it returned several months later we had taken her back to the doctor to understand why. He had told us about how it was common for the intolerance to return after/during bouts of sickness. Superboy has been battling a pretty hefty cold the last few days, and think this is what has caused the return. In the meantime, though, we are not in goat's milk yet, so Superboy is back to no milk, lest I make it to the further away grocery store  to buy some. He had gotten used to drinking it regularly, too, so it has been difficult to explain to him that he cannot have it. I don't know yet if it is just the straight milk or if he has to stay away from the cultured products for a while, as well.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
