What is this bug?

He was easily longer than an inch. He sat on the boat cover for a few days. It looks like it is some sort of beetle, but what, we don't know. Do you?

  3. The goats are for milking. Unless one of them gets pretty hefty before the fall, I will not be able to breed them for another year, wanting to keep their health a priority. I love them. They are so sociable. I would like to mess with sheep's milk as well, but their prime use right now is planned for wool. We will see where things go. If a nice mini ram comes up for sale, then I might breed them, but I am pretty picky. Their fleece is incredible soft right now, and I don't want to make it coarse breeding it with the wrong ram.

I welcome hospitable, intelligent discussion. I do not welcome mean-spirited comments. Though they are "moderated" I post pretty much everything, with a very, very small exception-that being spam and those who aim to hurts others intentionally. I'd love hear what you have to say, otherwise!
